With years of both personally sharing Jesus with others and using the resource of Alpha—we work to equip individuals and churches to reach out to build relationally with those “yet to” believe and then establish Alpha as a safe place for their friends to explore the Christian faith and come to know Jesus.
InterVarsity Relational Evangelism Training
Invited by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship to be their first “non-InterVarsity” trainer for relational evangelism, we teach the InterVarsity Relational Evangelism Training, based on the concept of the identifiable “5 Thresholds” every seeker “journeys through” as they are exploring and coming to faith in Christ. The training consists of these four modules:
God Does the Work
God is already at work in the people in our lives
The Five Thresholds of Faith
Growing in Relational Evangelism
Asking Good Questions
Recovering the lost art of fostering curiosity
Invitations that Change Lives
Helping people move through the 5 Thresholds of Faith
If the host church desires, up to two follow-up Zoom sessions can be scheduled to help with implementation of the concepts and practices taught. The course is best run over a 4-hour period (including lunch) on a Saturday. Honorariums given to The Unity Hope Project are appreciated but otherwise there is no cost other than an agreed upon arrangement made with InterVarsity where $300 is donated by the host church directly to the InterVarsity Native Americans ministry.
Alpha Training and Coaching
An estimated 35 million people worldwide (2.5 million alone globally in 2024) have had the opportunity to explore Jesus and the Christian faith in the context of a meal, a video, and a discussion where no question is off limits and those exploring Jesus are welcomed and given a safe place to discover Jesus.
The Unity Hope Project trains and coaches churches to run Alpha. This is done with an understanding that as Alpha is implemented (at least 2 times per year for at least 3 years) within the flow and culture of a church —Alpha can become a viable resource for those living on mission with Jesus to invite their “not yet” Christian friends to.
