The Unity Hope Project equips believers to share Jesus—led by Executive Director Bruce Farley and a passionate collective of Christ-followers

Bruce has worked in various ministry settings for decades and has by God’s grace seen real fruit in terms of sharing Jesus and seeing people embrace Christ —as well as equipping others to do the same. A lot of that ministry time has been spent in leading/building teams to do Alpha in churches, prisons, high schools (including LeBron James’ locker room long after LeBron was there)—and a covert one in a coffee shop during the height of the 2020 pandemic.

Prior to launching The Unity Hope Project in July of 2024, Bruce spent the last twelve plus-years serving on the Alpha USA staff as the network director in Ohio. In total Bruce has run Alpha for 30 years. He and his wife Colleen have two daughters and four grandchildren. He still remains actively involved with the Alpha USA team serving as an Alpha Coach, helping with Alpha USA online trainings, and serving as an Alpha Hub Church director at his home church.

Bruce is an ordained pastor with the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination.

“I can’t thank Bruce and The Unity Hope Project enough. Bruce pursued our church and me personally about Alpha. Since we began using Alpha, I’ve come to see that Alpha is a ministry that’s real and authentic in how the gospel is shared and also totally reliant on the Holy Spirit. Alpha, combined with the InterVarsity Relational Evangelism Training, is resourcing our church and equipping our people as we move forward in seeing people come to know Jesus.”

“I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of the InterVarsity Relational Evangelism Training and also several Alphas at Freshwater. The insights on relational evangelism have been so helpful as I have journeyed with those exploring Jesus, both in my personal life and in leading a small group at Alpha. I wholeheartedly endorse what Bruce and The Unity Hope Project have done in helping myself and our church grow to be a people living on mission with Jesus.” Your church can’t help but benefit from what they offer.”

“We have so benefitted from The Unity Hope Project and all that Bruce has brought to both encourage and equip me and our students in living missionally and creating space for exploring the gospel using the Alpha Youth Series. The training he did for launching the Alpha Youth series and then for doing prayer ministry have both been huge. We just had our Alpha Youth Day retreat which Bruce helped to lead —and we saw so many students deeply impacted to follow Jesus and go and give Jesus to their peers.”

“The time that Bruce and I spent leading Alpha Youth at Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility, although it was hard at times—has been a real highlight of my training for the priesthood. Seeing our friend Luis, an incarcerated youth —come to faith in Christ was amazing. On a personal note, I’ve seen Bruce live the gospel in praying for others as the Spirit leads. His example so encouraged me to live more courageously for Christ.”

Father Anthony Donatelli

“Hope Alliance Bible Church has benefited from the work of The Unity Hope Project through being equipped for relational evangelism and Alpha as we prepare to launch it this fall. In addition, Bruce and I serve together at Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility, sharing Jesus with the youth through simple relationship building and the new Alpha Youth Series. We’re excited about the next steps as we continue to invest in the spiritual growth of the young men by “adopting” a unit and equipping young men to reach their fellow youth in their unique “incarcerated community.””

Dr. Erin BellLead Pastor, Hope Alliance Bible Church

“Bruce and the ministry he leads have been so helpful in seeing Alpha be an effective tool for the ministry of evangelization here in the Diocese. He has trained our leaders and also led our most recent Alpha Day Away. His heart for Jesus and for seeing people knowing Jesus continues to shine through. I’m also thankful personally for his friendship and encouragement to keep living the gospel daily.”
